Compilation of Truck Crashes Trying to Squeeze Under the "11 Feet, 8 Inch" Bridge Never Gets Old

The irregular height of this legendary Durham, North Carolina railroad crossover bridge has led to some crazy accidents.

So many people misjudge the height of this bridge that it is equipped with cameras and its own website, 11foot8.com.

Every type of truck from Penske, Budget, and Enterprise rental trucks to RVs and travel trailers have gotten into accidents here.

Despite multiple street-level signs, a hanging sign, flashing lights, and an "Overheight Must Turn" LED sign; countless drivers have plowed right into the protective crossbar that prevents the bridge itself from taking damage.

At 0:40 and 1:20 we see what locals refer to as a "peel" or a "can opener," with the entire roof of a large box truck scraped away upon clipping the bridge.

At 3:50, watch a refrigeration truck correctly navigate around the bridge, only to turn around in the middle of the intersection and proceed to ram the barrier.

If that doesn't make you laugh, we don't know what will.
