These Isuzu Arctic Trucks Are Pretty Sick

The new lineup of Isuzu Arctic Trucks will make you remember the car brand name called Isuzu.

Remember Isuzu? Matter of fact, when was the last time you saw an Isuzu on the road that wasn't a delivery truck? Well, the Japanese automaker is now debuting the Isuzu Arctic Trucks lineup complete with some pretty slick quad-cab models.

The Drive just reported that the Isuzu Arctic Trucks, which just made their entrance into the auto-sphere at the 2018 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, U.K., are set to wow fans of light-duty pickups. The models have been somewhat of a secret from Isuzu only made 10 (yes, just 10) units of its special edition Stealth model, based on the D-Max AT35 Double Cab Automatic.

Look & Feel

The look and feel of the Isuzu Arctic Trucks designs feature an exclusive "De-chrome" pack. This gives it a dark, mysterious look. A few added aesthetic features also include roof bars, side steps, radiator grille, front fog light surrounds, rear bumper trim, and door mirrors. It's a top-to-bottom reimagining of Isuzu's pickup truck legacy.

The rear of the truck comes complete with a sports bar and black mountaintop roller cover, all covered in sleek black finish. LED headlights light the way for the Isuzu Arctic Trucks and even give them kind of a Dark Knight look. Inside the cabins the pickups include bespoke upholstered quilted leather seats (pretty snazzy), a new nine-inch multi-function color touchscreen, and nine speakers surrounding you with clear sound.

Toughen Up

Isuzu went a little far and said its Arctic Trucks aren't for the "faint hearted." Okay, well, we just think they look amazing and have some great features, but we can respect the re-branding.

To back that up, Isuzu put in a 164-hp, four-cylinder engine with 266 pound-feet of max torque. Nokian Rotiiva tires with 315/70R17 specifications come standard. Altogether, this compact pickup packs a punch with efficiency.
