An Anglers' Paradise Is Found at Roaring River State Park

Roaring River State Park is located several miles south of Cassville, Missouri, not far from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. The park is situated in the Ozark Mountains, making it an excellent destination for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds, particularly anglers interested in trout fishing.

In addition to fun features such as hiking trails and a swimming pool, Roaring River also has exciting attractions like historical sites and a nature center. There's even a park store near the park's entrance, so if you forget any fishing gear or need a snack, you don't have to drive back into town.

Cabins at Roaring River State Park

In addition to 26 rustic cabins, the park also has an inn and conference center. The Emory Melton Inn offers guest rooms and meeting rooms, so it's a prime spot for both business and pleasure. To make a reservation, just visit the park's website.

Camping & RVing Options

Campers will be pleased to know that the park has several large campgrounds with reservable sites. While most have conveniences you'd expect, like picnic tables and fire rings, only Campground 1 and Campground 3 are located near laundry facilities and RV dump stations.

While the park isn't open year-round, some of the campsites are available during the off-season. Interested parties should contact the park office or check out the state website for more details.

Dust off those fishing licenses. It's anglin' time! Fisherfolk will be happy to hear that this Missouri state park is regularly stocked with rainbow trout. Its on-site fish hatchery is run by the Missouri Department of Conservation, so blame them if you don't catch anything. Before wading out, make sure to review all of the park's regulations, as there are some restrictions.
