Grocery giant Kroger and self-driving startup Nuro are now partnering to deliver groceries in the Scottsdale, Ariz. area
The partnership will take place at a single Kroger location, Fry's Food Stores, where orders can be placed starting Aug. 16, with customers opting for same or next-day delivery for $6 by one of Nuro's autonomous cars, an equipped Toyota Prius or Nissan Leaf with a human operator behind the wheel.
As the project progresses, Nuro will switch to one of its flagship R1 driverless delivery vehicles.

"Arizona is home to some of the most innovative autonomous vehicle testing," said Nuro co-founder Dave Ferguson.
