Hyundai May Be Preparing a Toyota Land Cruiser Rival

Could there be an SUV rivalry starting, thanks to Hyundai's latest intentions?

Hyundai is rumored to be planning a full-size SUV to compete against the Toyota Land Cruiser and Nissan Armada by 2022.

Little specifications have been revealed, other than Australian website Car Sales reporting it would measure 197 inches long with two powertrain options- a turbocharged 3.3L V6 for 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque or a 5.0L V8, carrying even more power and size numbers than the rumored Santa Fe XL.

The rumored Hyundai full-size may be a hard sell, with the Cruiser delivering less than 2000 units in the first half of 2018.
