Huger e-Skateboards Now Out in Production

Huger, a manufacturer of electric skateboards, just killed an Indiegogo campaign, raising approximately $213,000 to bring it to production.

Currently, the brand is accepting pre-orders through its Indiegogo page to ship this month. Backers have the option of purchasing its boards or accessories at a discount, such as quick swap batteries or tires.

Huger features three styles: Travel, Racer, and Classic, which vary regarding incline percentage, speed, weight, recharge time, and measurements. The Classic ($449) is similar to a traditional skateboard with little resistance, boasting a top speed of 15-mph and a range of 8.5 miles.

The Travel ($799) is a commuter board with a 20-mph top speed/22-mile range, and the Racer ($899) is an adventurous spirit topping 25-miles per hour with a 25% incline grade to zip uphill with ease.

All three-skateboards come in seven different front, rear, brake, and turn lighting configurations along the sides and undercarriage.

They are also waterproof IPX6 rated and includes an iOS and Android smartphone app allowing riders to adjust torque from 0 to 100% to sweet spot turning power, view stats, use GPS, and customize lighting.

Other features include a Bluetooth remote and 60-second quick-swap batteries.
