Glenwood Springs, Colorado, is located two and a half hours west of Denver and one hour and twenty minutes east of Grand Junction. As far as rides go, the park is a western-themed adventure park that offers thrill rides, family-friendly rides, the 4D Motion Theater, and kiddie rides. All rides have specific height requirements and are seasonally operated depending on the weather. Almost all the rides offer magnificent views of Colorado!

Are you looking for scream-worthy thrills to give you the chills?! The Haunted Mine Drop is the world's first underground drop ride. At the same time, the Alpine Coaster was rated by USA Today and Park World Magazine as one of the 10 Best Roller Coaster Rides Of Your Life!

The Giant Canyon Swing is not for the faint of heart as it was rated by USA Today as one of the most extreme rides in the Unite d States. The Soaring Eagle Zip Ride takes guests on a tandem ride almost 600 feet up the mountain before you are reversed back down, zipping towards the ground.

The Cliffhanger Roller Coaster is the highest elevation, a full-sized coaster in the US, situated at 7,160 feet alongside Iron Mountain. You can even see the Colorado River in Glenwood Canyon from 1,450 above! The Glenwood Canyon Flyer sits on the edge of Glenwood Canyon and presents a thrilling swing ride like none other!

Share more exciting experiences with some of the more family-oriented attractions at the park. Witness incredible views from the Mine Wheel, Glenwood Cavern's version of a Ferris wheel. The Wild West Express is a roller coaster newbies' best friend. At the same time, the Laser Tag Arena is perfect for an interactive-type game.

Schedule a movie at the 4D Motion Theater, where you can feel like you are actually in the film, not just watching it. Other fun activities include a climbing wall, Halvor Flowstone, and watching the Harmony Sisters perform!

No visit to America's Only Mountaintop Theme Park would be complete without a tour of the Glenwood Caverns. Explore the underground landscape millions of years in the making. Learn about the living cavern that's home to thousands of formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, soda straws, cave bacon, and flowstone. Experience the fantastic King's Row, the most highly decorated cave room in Colorado. There are two 40-minute walking tours appropriate for most ages that depart throughout the day. No reservations are necessary for the walking tours.

Cave Tours

To discover the underground glory at Glenwood, take a 40-minute guided tour of the Historic Fairy Caves. A tour guide leads you on a walk through a quarter-mile-long stretch of narrow passageways to natural water features and mindblowing viewpoints.

Another option is venturing into the King's Row, the most highly decorated cave room in all of Colorful Colorado. This tour is usually accessible to all fitness levels and lasts about 40 minutes.

If you are feeling like taking more of a risk, sign up for the Wild Tour. Similar to spelunking, this tour has you squeezing through tight spots and finding hidden cave rooms, all with just the use of your guide and a headlamp. This two-hour adventure takes you deep into underground chambers and parts of the mountain most people never see.

The Glenwood Gondola

The only way to get into the park is the new gondola that takes you through the Roaring Fork Valley. Take the fun gondola ride from the valley floor to the theme park entrance while catching incredible Rocky Mountain views.

Important Information For Visitors

Please note that this park is NOT open year-round—typical dates of operation range from mid-March through Halloween. The best way to explore the park is by purchasing a Funday pass, including the Gondola ride, walking cave tours, and unlimited rides on the seasonal attractions.
