Air Vent Snake Slithers Out to Say Hey

Last week, Virginia resident Lora Goff received the scare of her life while driving during her lunch break when an air vent snake decided to pop out.

In a story first reported by the Washington Post, resident Lora Goff was driving down Warrantor, Va. in her Cadillac SRX when she observed a two-and-a-half foot long garter snake climbing out of her air vent. Calmly, she dialed 911 before an animal control officer arrived, where he attempted to fish it out with a pole.

"At first," said Goff. "I was in disbelief. I was like, 'Oh, my God."

Regrettably, the animal control officer, who had his own snake phobia, was unable to capture the wild animal while it retreated deeper within the air vent's crevasses when Goff decided to return to work.

After a brainstorming session amongst her co-workers, which included running the A/C to hot and cold, she set a glue trap. The following morning, her husband finally retrieved the air vent snake and disposed of it in short order. File this story under, "OHMYGOD, OHMYGOD, OHMYGOD, OHMYGOD, OHMYGOD!"
