The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles now has a full-size, 1:1 scale McLaren 720S on display, constructed entirely using LEGOs minus tires.

In a project that took more than 2000 hours and 280,000-plus bricks by six professional LEGO builders, the project comprised of building brick structures around a steel frame, flanked by Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Even museum visitors were involved, helping to place the final pieces in ceremonial fashion for the McLaren 720S.

In all, it weighs 3,200 pounds, which is a shade above the real thing at 2,828 pounds. As part of the exhibit, the $125 million Museum will also allow visitors to customize and print their own mini LEGO Speed Champions using an iPad app.

Look for the LEGO McLaren 720S to remain on display until Aug. 19.
