F1 Car Takes Road Trip From San Francisco to Las Vegas

F1 goes on a road trip, and it's pretty awesome.

In this clip by Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, watch Australian F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo take a 2011 Red Bull RB7 on a road trip from San Francisco through the Monument Valley all the way to Las Vegas.

Spanning a total distance of more than 4,000 miles, the clip's action shots are ultra-impressive, shot at various angles, including from the interior with alternating shots of city skylines, empty bridges, and smartphone-waving crowds.

In one captivating stretch, an F1 pit team stops midway through an empty San Francisco's Bay Bridge to simulate routine maintenance on its tires. The cost to empty out one of California's most congested bridges must have been astronomical.

The Aston Martin and Tag Heuer-badged 2.4-liter Renault V8 Red Bull RB7 has a vaunted history, winning the 2011 F1 championship while winning 12 out of 19 races.
