Is This the Coolest Foreign Off-Road Machine?

Sometimes, you just need an off-road machine with a little something more.

Well, the folks in this video drove nine hours to pick up one of the strangest, coolest ATVs we've ever seen.

That off-road machine, which looks like a mini monster truck, is the SHERP. The ATV was created in Russia in 2012 and launched in 2015.

The massive tires are tubeless and self-inflating, so the vehicle can go just about anywhere. It can clear up to a 27-inch obstacle and it can even float.

It weighs just 2,866 pounds, so it can do 28 mph on land and 3.7 mph on the water, and it can turn like a tank.

SHERP's North American manufacturing facility is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The vehicles are delivered with special, small traveling tires. The "standard" tires are put on at the shop.

That's not all that has to be put on a delivered SHERP.

The company is just getting into the U.S. market. In order to sell the SHERPs, the company has to ship the off-road machine without a motor.

Once here, the company has a buy a motor and install it to conform with U.S. regulations.

Once purchased (for about $50,000) and delivered, someone could have all sorts of fun.
