The 2019 Polaris Ranger basically overhauled its entire system, and it’s a beauty.
Polaris’ newly updated Ranger, the powersports industry’s best-selling side-by-side vehicle, was just unveiled, featuring some sure-to-please updates.
The 2019 Polaris Ranger Crew XP 1000 is essentially a top-to-bottom re-imagining of the company’s top-rated six-seater, including a focus on payload capacity
The 2019 Polaris Ranger Crew XP 1000 continues to carve itself out as the premier utility side-by-side. Starting with the ProStar 1000 power plant, which generates a class-best 82 horsepower, the new Ranger brings an enviable amount of torque. That horsepower is then turned into a boosted towing capacity of 2,500 pounds, a whole 500 pounds over its closest competitor.
Six people can easily fit and be hauled along with whatever the Ranger is towing behind it, thanks to its 1,750-pound payload capacity. The 2019 Polaris Ranger also comes with a class-leading 13 inches of ground clearance, giving drivers a little extra room when riding over bumpy and rocky paths. And speaking of such paths, the new model now has 27-inch, 6-ply tires to handle some pretty tough terrain.
The 2019 Polaris Ranger also updated its shocks system with 11 inches of suspension. And a tighter turn radius–10 percent tighter on this one–also allows for better handling on the range.

Once inside the roomy Ranger, passengers will notice the completely reimagined cab. The new model comes with cut-and-sew seats with thicker and more durable seating. This adds a bit of comfort, which will help when it comes to bounding through uneven terrain.
The designers over at Polaris also wanted to add more opportunities to haul gear inside the ATV, in a safe and secure fashion. One bonus is that the 2019 Polaris Ranger comes with new flip-up front and rear passenger seats where cargo can be tucked away. Add in the right cup holders and everyone can take advantage of its personalization.
We’re guessing that most owners of the updated Ranger are probably going to use it any time of the year for a multitude of reasons. This idea isn’t a far stretch of the imagination, so Polaris upped the off-road climate control in the Ranger. The Ranger Crew XP 1000 Northstar HVAC Edition comes with a factory-installed heating and air conditioning system meant to keep things from overheating or freezing up.
The brand new Ranger Pro Shield cab system helps keep dust away, which is great when you’re traveling along desert dirt paths, for instance. This OEM update features larger sealing surfaces and new gaskets, working together to keep the controlled temperature in and dust outside of the Ranger.
